STEM Annual Summit 2009

An impressive and excellent turnout of over 100 delegates graced the STEM Professional Development Program for Technology Managers and STEM Annual Summit from 19-22 August, 2009 at Taj Banjara, Hyderabad, India. The flagship Annual event of the STEM brought in participation from across three continents, with some of the key profiles being: Technology Managers, Chief IP Officers, and senior technologists, policymakers, and representatives from IP-owning companies, start-ups, law firms, consultancies, accountancy firms and other IP stakeholders from across the world. Participants came from MNCs, public sector and policymaking institutions.

Over four days, the sessions, keynote speeches and panel discussions provided ample opportunities for a wide spectrum of stakeholder views and insights to be brought forth through a high-quality debate on the role of IP in today’s world, and on a variety of other key topics that Technology Managers face daily, ranging from conflict of interest to transnational licensing agreements, from technology marketing to global IP scenarios. The discussions offline were very fruitful, and a majority of the delegates expressed their happiness with the new opportunities for alliances, deals and partnerships in the offing.
