STEM and ATTP

The Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals (ATTP) provides the globally recognized Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) accreditation, which distinguishes individuals who have demonstrated competence in the profession of Technology Management. This RTTP status recognizes the skill, knowledge, contributions and accomplishments as professionals. The RTTP credential also takes into account the diversity of roles in our profession while recognizing that certain core competencies spans across these roles. The RTTP accreditation will:

  • Provide proficient approval and acknowledgment by your associates and businesses
  • Connect you locally and internationally to a community of technology management practitioners
  • Enable you to work anywhere in the world

While it does not require taking a test, it does require writing a case study around an achievement and evidence of education that demonstrates these fundamental competencies and submitting it to a peer review group for evaluation. Based on your experience you can either apply for Cadidate RTTP or RTTP professional certification.

We are pleased to announce that Society for Technology Management (STEM) is a member of ATTP. All STEM professional development courses and designated educational offerings and annual meetings are eligible for continuing education (CE) credits, which support your RTTP registration application. The details of the ATTP accredited courses eligible for CE credits are listed here.

The list of Indian technology transfer professionals who have received their RTTP certification either through STEM or other ATTP Alliance Associations can be viewed here.
