Mr. Krishan G Thakur

Krishan Thakur works as a Business Manager at Agrinnovate India Ltd., New Delhi, (Government of India Enterprise), Department of Agriculture Research and Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers welfare (MoA&FW) and is handling the IP portfolio of novel technologies developed at different constituent’s research institutes of Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR)/SAUs and is responsible for its evaluation/commercialisation on domestic as well as global level. Krishan has more than 14 years of reliable experience in domain work, which involves IP management (Drafting /filing / maintaining the patents) & evaluation/commercialisation of technologies emerged out from agriculture sector which includes crop varieties/hybrids, processes/products, bio-formulations/bioprocessing technologies, post-harvest technologies, animal feed/aqua technologies, farm implements/machineries, diagnostics/vaccines, software/database etc. He also has good experience in Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics techniques.

Krishan has successfully transferred more than 100 technologies to various public/private sector, R&D organizations/educational institutions and farmers with good socio-economic impact for sustainable promotion of global agricultural development. He has also facilitated the filing of 16 patent applications, 4 design applications and registration of 18 potato varieties.

Krishan has done MSc in Biotechnology followed by Certifications in Bio Business Management, PGDCA, PGDIPR and also designated with RTTP status. He has published 3 research papers/articles, 2 book chapters, 2 technical bulletins, 6 gene sequences submitted to NCBI/Genbank.
