Dr. Sanjeev Saxena

Dr. Sanjeev Saxena is Assistant Director General for Intellectual Property and Technology Management in the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

In his career spanning over 29 years in the ICAR and other prestigious institutes of India. He has been involved in different dimensions of biodiversity, genetic resources, intellectual property and technology management. This includes analysis, development and implementation of policies; advocacy and awareness generation. His involvement includes other related dimensions viz. plant variety protection, seed sector issues, farmers’ rights, biotechnology, environmental concerns and traditional knowledge.

Dr. Saxena has been closely associated with several reforms related initiatives in ICAR, besides being instrumental in the formation of several mega-projects on crop/seed research and development.
